My name is Tarak Akkena from Hyderabad. I have been working in the field of social work for the past 15 years, and today, I am reaching out to you for help for my sister, Akkena Rajeswari, who is battling Stage 4 metastatic carcinoma of the rectum.
Rajeswari is only 28 years old and a mother to a 3-year-old child. She is currently admitted to Basavatarakam Cancer Institute and undergoing chemotherapy.
What we initially thought was ordinary abdominal pain turned out to be Stage 4 cancer. Her estimated treatment cost is around ₹35 lakh. Our family has already spent more than ₹10 lakh on her treatment and exhausted her insurance coverage.
We are now raising ₹25 lakh to help continue her chemotherapy, medication and treatment.
This has been an incredibly difficult and unfortunate time for our family. My grandfather is also battling throat cancer and is currently admitted to a hospital in Vizag. With two members of our family facing cancer at the same time, the emotional and financial burden has become overwhelming.
I have spent years working in social service and supporting others through difficult times. Today, I am humbly asking for your support for my own family.
