My daughter Kashvika is a cheerful, playful four-year-old who should be spending her days playing with other children and enjoying her childhood. Instead, she has to remain in strict quarantine at home, take daily medicines and injections, and constantly protect herself from infections because of a rare immune disorder. Even the simple joys of childhood remain out of reach as we do everything we can to keep her safe.
My name is Kampati Ravinder, and we are from Pindiprolu in Khammam district, Telangana. Kashvika’s struggles began when she was just eight months old, with repeated infections. We visited several hospitals and consulted different doctors, trying to understand why she kept falling ill. After numerous consultations and tests, she was diagnosed at the age of two with a rare genetic disorder called Chronic Granulomatous Disease (CGD).
Her condition once became so critical that the doctors gave us very little hope of her recovery. But Kashvika miraculously recovered. She also spent over a month receiving treatment at Ankura Hospital in Khammam. Even today, she needs daily medicines and injections to manage her condition.
Doctors have recommended a bone marrow transplant to help Kashvika overcome CGD and have a chance at a healthier life. Although I am a half-match for her as her father, the doctors have advised finding a full match for the transplant.
The hospital treatment is estimated to cost ₹15 lakh, and finding a suitable match and arranging the transplant will require around ₹8 lakh more. We are trying to raise ₹23 lakh to make her treatment possible. She will also need medicines, close medical supervision, and continued care after the transplant.
I work as a mechanic, and we have already exhausted our savings trying to get Kashvika the treatment she needs. We have done everything we can as parents, but we can no longer manage these expenses on our own.
I humbly ask for your support in helping my daughter receive this treatment. Your contribution can bring Kashvika closer to a healthier future where she can play, make friends, and enjoy her childhood with fewer limitations. Every bit of support means a great deal to our family.
